Dr. Tim S. Hebson became Dean of Students at The University of Alabama in Summer 2007. He first came to UA as Director of Judicial Affairs in August 2002. Later, he was promoted to Associate Dean of Students and Executive Director of Student Development.
Previously, Dean Hebson served as Director of Housing at Samford University, Assistant Director of Student Activities at Auburn University, and Director of Student Life at The University of Montevallo.
Dean Hebson graduated from Sylacauga High School in Sylacauga, Alabama in 1977. He received his Bachelor's degree from Mobile College (now The University of Mobile) in 1981. He earned his Master's Degree from Samford University in 1982 and his Doctorate in Education from The University of Alabama in 1996.
He is married to the former Jo Bevill of Birmingham and enjoys traveling and sports.
